With current technology, driving an automobile has a significant impact on the environment. While we at eagerly anticipate improved, cleaner auto technology, we are doing our best to mitigate the effect of limo travel on the environment until that technology arrives.

To our knowledge, is the only limousine company in Monmouth County that aims toward sustainability.

We take a three-point approach to this:

1. We purchase carbon offsets for all the carbon dioxide emitted by our vehicles.

At the end of each month, we tally up the miles driven by each car and then purchase enough carbon offsets to neutralize the carbon emitted by our cars. We purchase carbon offsets from our vendor, TerraPass, a project of the Wharton School of Business.

These offsets are put to a number of uses, including:

  • Planting trees to absorb carbon dioxide
  • Funding renewable energy initiatives, such as new wind farms
  • Reducing emissions of methane, another greenhouse gas

We realize that buying carbon offsets is not a solution, but they go a long way toward minimizing our environmental impact until cleaner technology comes along.

2.We run our headquarters on 100% renewable energy.

We participate in a program offered by the state of New Jersey that allows businesses and consumers to draw all of their electrical energy from renewable sources: solar, wind, and hydroelectric.

3.We are planning to integrate hybrid vehicles into our fleet.

Although there are no hybrid Lincoln Town Cars yet, we are evaluating plans to include one or more Toyota Prius hybrids in our fleet, for customers who request them.
